Saturday Morning and Farm Visit
Last night we went out to eat dinner with some new friends, the Knifong Family. The Knifongs live on a small farm outside of Sandy and have 4 children. They have chickens and a cat and lots of room for the kiddos to run around. Weston and Grace had a great time riding the little John Deere tractor for toddlers, feeding the chickens, swinging and just running. I told Christi Knifong they got more excercise last night than they usually get in a whole week! Grace was especially excited about the fact that the cat had a dead mouse. She kept running up excitedly saying, "A mouse! A mouse!" and pointing to where it was.
Mike and I also enjoyed the time of fellowship. The adults got to sit by the campfire overlooking a beautiful pond and several green fields. There is something so calming about hearing frogs do their evening croaking while the sun is setting. The Lord has really blessed the Knifongs with such a beautiful place to live and we were blessed to enjoy it also!

Front Lawn
April Happenings
I think I will post a photo taken on Easter morning in front of our front door. It's a horrible picture but funny as it shows how hard it is to take pictures of three kids and two adults. Everyone is looking opposite directions and, of course, Grace had to start bawling right before we wanted to take the photos. :) Two-year olds!
This past weekend John and Shirley came to stay with us and work on the garage skylights. I'll have to post some photos of the duplex and garage eventually. Weston and Grace loved having "Papa" and "Memaw" visit for the weekend. Memaw Shirley made newspaper hats with the the kids and they were busy all weekend decorating them. Weston has loved cutting out paper and taping it in various shapes. He cut out the shape of a house all by himself and taped it together. He has also learned to make up stories and illustrate them. (He dictates and we write. Afterward he illustrates). All of his stories have "good tigers" and "bad tiger" in them. The "bad tigers" are always trying to eat people :)
Well, I'd better go as I have three kids with needs right now.

Tinker Toy Time
This photo was taken this morning after we spent time playing with tinker toys. You can probably guess that Mommy helped quite a bit with the airplane ;) Weston did build a gun by himself though that you can see right by his foot under the plane. It even has "arrows" that go with it. Pretty technical!
When the baby was awake earlier Weston was pretty excited as he got her to hold onto a rattle that he put in her hand. She held onto it and sucked onto it for awhile before it fell out. We're all looking forward to this next couple of months as she begins to hold toys and interact more. She is a very smiley baby and does some baby talk and cooing when you talk with her.
I'll be sure to post some Easter photos next week! We look forward to my parents' visit this weekend and attending our new church, Household of Faith Community Church, on Easter Sunday. We are talking a lot with Weston about Jesus' death and resurrection and why we celebrate that He is alive and will be coming back!

March Photos
Some of the photos are from a trip we took to visit my parents in Bend. Weston had a great time doing some "work" on the John Deere tractor with his Papa Craig. I'll also post a picture of Grace "playing" the piano with my mom. Grace took the piano very seriously and even swayed to the music. You can tell she is dressed up as a princess in some of my mom's old jewelry.
We've been doing well lately and are starting to really enjoy our new duplex. We just finished sealing the garage foundation in preparation for making it a family room/playroom. We have some people lined up to come carpet it in a little over a week and then it will be ready to use. I'm especially looking forward to having a play area where I can just shut the door on the mess and not have to clean up toys several times a day. I think both sets of grandparents are looking forward to having a better place to sleep when they come than the living room. We've insulated, dry-walled, textured, painted and even added a heater. John and Shirley will come soon also so John can finish installing some skylights that they gave us as a house-warming gift. We'll have to post some photos when it is all finished!
Well, I'd better get to posting some photos. The kids will be waking up soon and we are all going to meet Mike downtown after work.
