Eric and Christi's Wedding

Here's a few photos of Eric and Christi's wedding! The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was so much fun. Sorry, Eric, for the next photo of you and Christi. It's the only photo I got of you two together. :)
The reception was held in an old mansion in Spokane and the guests went from room to room for their food and drinks. There were stations set up with the food (fruit and veggies in the library, potatoes in the dining room, etc. ) You can see that Christi is holding a martini glass filled with mashed potatoes. There was a mashed potato bar with martini glasses so that guests could walk around and visit while they ate. Fun idea!
I think the mansion was built in 1902 and has been kept up very well.

Elsie the Fireball

Here's a new photo of Elsie at 8 and a half months. She is army crawling everywhere and is working on pulling up. She's been a little cranky lately because of a new top tooth coming in. She a bit more of a fireball than the other two. ;)
We are heading to Spokane tomorrow for Eric and Christi's wedding (Mike's younger brother and his fiance). Weston is going to be the ring-bearer so I'll have to post some photos of him in his tux when I get a chance. We're praying the trip goes well as it feels like a long drive. It will be fun to have a sister-in-law in the family!

Mmmmm yummy!

I decided to get artistic one morning and took a photo of my coffee. I think photography is not in my future career plans.

Bob Undies!

I caught Weston washing his hands in his Bob the Builder undies. Won't be much longer until I can't post photos like this on the blog. He is starting to insist on his "privacy" more and more.

Farewell to Moses!

Well, the time came to say "goodbye" to our beloved schnauzer, Moses. After lots of thinking, Mike and I decided that it was too much time, money, effort, etc to keep caring for a dog in addition to 3 young kids. We found a schnauzer rescue organization and decided to give him up for adoption :) Mike dropped Moses off to one of their foster homes (I know, sounds silly) and the foster "mom" liked Moses so much that she decided to keep him. He is now happily living in his new home. We don't miss having a dog, but we do miss Moses, if that makes any sense. Weston cried a lot when Moses first left but got over it pretty quickly. Grace didn't even notice he was gone until she was eating dinner later that night and wanted him to come lick her hand off. She's been pretty unaffected by his absence :) I've probably been taking it the hardest as he was my first "child". We had him for over 6 years so I was used to him always being there. We know it was the right decision and good timing as we currently have all mud for a yard and his vet bills were getting a little spendy. I'm sure many of our guests are going to miss his presence and loud yipping :)

Miss Teen South Carolina Calls 911

This is great. Better if you've seen the video of her answering the question in the actual pageant (did I spell pageant right :)

Summer Photos

Here's a few photos from our summer! We went camping up at Timothy lake in July. It was a little cold for most of the time but warmed up enough for the kids to play a bit by the lake. I have a little catching up to do on my blog. Summer seems to go so fast that I'm in survival mode when I'm home. I'll try to post some more photos soon.

Earrings

Here's a photo of Grace's new earrings. We took her to the mall last week and got them pierced with some little pink diamonds (not real of course). She cried a little bit after the first ear but was very brave and didn't throw a fit for the second ear. I have to clean around the earrings 2 to 3 times per day which she doesn't like, but the earrings don't seem to bother her and they aren't red or irritated.
We went to a wedding this weekend for Mike's cousin, Alex, and his bride, Megan. It was a beautiful wedding and very honoring to God. The kids did well on Saturday with no nap even though they didn't get to bed until after 11 pm. Only Weston slept well at the hotel as both girls were waking up and crying during the night. Mike and I felt like zombies today and ....why am I still awake right now ...I should be in bed!!! Zombie girl will remove herself from the computer and go to bed right now ;)

The Mask Ba

Here's a few photos I took after the kids made some masks out of cardboard and ribbon. Weston "wrote" (he dictated while I wrote) a story about a boy and his mask. Here's the story:

"The Mask Ba" by Weston Dahl (I'm not sure what "Ba" is, but he insisted it be in there) :)

One day the little boy got a mask from his friend, Da-Jezu. Then he went off hunting with his daddy and his mask tied to his helmet. The boy and his daddy shot a deer. The boy shot the deer with his bow and arrow and the daddy also shot an elk. Jesus helped them to shoot the deer and the elk. On the way home the boy and the daddy were walking on the edge of a logging road and they tripped and fell into a big river. Luckily, there was a police boat on the river and the police saw them fall in. There was also a fire on the river so the fire truck and the ambulance also came. The police officers also were able to get the deer and the elk out of the water. The ambulance carried the daddy and the boy to the hospital so they could get a very important surgery. The mommy came and got them from the hospital and also the little boy's sister.

The End

Cinderella!

Here's a photo of Grace in her "Cinderella" dress. My mom sent it to her in the mail. She wasn't that excited about it until I told her she looked like Cinderella in it. Then she liked the dress so much that she wanted to wear it to church on Sunday.
